THE EXPERIENCE
Discover Dubai Creek abra ride
An abra crossing is both transport and a short way to experience the historic creek between Bur Dubai and Deira. RTA distinguishes traditional routes CR1 and CR2 from other heritage, electric and charter services. The current traditional-route page lists AED1 per passenger per trip, cash only; other abra products have different fares and conditions.
Choose the crossing by destination. Bur Dubai to Deira Old Souq and Dubai Old Souq to Al Sabkha are different pairs of stations, so check which side suits the next market or walking route. A cheap commuter crossing is not the same as an extended private sightseeing cruise.
Follow the boat staff’s boarding instructions and keep bags secure. If travelling with a stroller or needing specific access support, check the actual vessel and station rather than assuming every abra has identical facilities. The current RTA creek page marks CR7 on hold, illustrating why an old map is not enough. Check the route at the station before planning your return, especially around holidays or changing service conditions.
