Discover Al Wathba Wetland Reserve
Temporarily closed: the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi lists development closure until further notice, checked 16 October 2026. Do not travel expecting trails, the hide or visitor centre to be available.
The reserve remains important for lakes, salt-flat habitat and Greater Flamingos, but conservation significance is different from present visitor access. After an official reopening announcement, use EAD instructions to choose the shorter or longer walking route. Wildlife presence and sightings vary naturally.
